At the Pro level, players experience full 11-player tackle football, following many of the same rules used at the high school level — but with a focus on development, teamwork, and safety.
This is an important transition level where players learn more advanced skills, team concepts, and leadership both on and off the field.
What to Expect
Full 11-player tackle football
Junior-sized football (with white stripes for easier grip and visibility)
Age-appropriate rules focused on safety and skill development
Minimum play requirements ensure that all players get on the field
Certified coaches committed to teaching fundamentals, sportsmanship, and Trojan Tough leadership
Key Skills We Teach
Advanced blocking and tackling techniques (with safety-first contact)
Offensive and defensive formations
Reading the field and making quick decisions
Team communication and leadership
Sportsmanship and respect for the game
Practices and Games
Practices begin the week of August 1st
Players must complete 10 practices before participating in their first game
Games are played on a regulation-size football field with 10-minute quarters
Certified EMTs are present at all games
Arrive 45 minutes before kickoff for games
Equipment
All Pro players must wear:
Helmet (NOCSAE-certified)
Shoulder pads
Thigh, knee, hip, and tailbone pads
Mouthguard (colored, not clear)
Rubber molded cleats (no metal spikes)
Equipment will be distributed at Packard Field on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at 4:00 PM.
Additional Expectations
Players must maintain good behavior and academic performance at school.
Players will wear their jerseys to school on Fridays before games to show team spirit.
Weather policy: Games and practices are played in all conditions except thunder and lightning.
